STARLIGHT
Making a modern re-imagining of an 1860's Fancy Dress Ball Gown. Like many costumes from the time it has an ambiguous theme so that the dress can follow the trend and style of the time. The theme is Starlight. Inspired by the book Fancy Dresses Described by Ardern Holt.
The make consists of; a bodice, a skirt, crinoline, corset, chemise and a headpiece.

The Caucasian Chalk Circle
This project was based on designs I made for Brecht's Caucasian Chalk Circle, the theme was dystopian renaissance. I used renaissance shapes with unconventional materials and textures. This is a soldiers uniform which contains many hand knitted elements (such as the doublet).
The make consists of; a shirt, knitted arm bands, breeches, a knitted doublet and cape.
